IMPORTANT NOTICE : Application of Tourist fee

We wish to inform you that as part of the measures announced in the 2025-2026 National Budget to support the tourism sector, a Tourist Fee of EUR 3 per person per night will be introduced in Mauritius.  Effective from 1st October 2025, this fee will apply to every tourist staying in designated accommodation establishments, including hotels, guesthouses, tourist residences, and private estates.  Please note that children under 12 years of age will be exempt from this fee.  Collected monthly and remitted to the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA), the funds will support sustainable tourism initiatives and infrastructure upgrades across the island.
